
A recent scientific study says that consumers who pay with cash their food, they tend to buy a lot less junk food than those who pay by credit card.
It is known the problem of obesity in the United States, in fact, a study by Harvard University predicts an increase in the rate of obesity in this country, the figure is alarming and would cover about half of the population.
Among the reasons for the excess weight of some Americans are: saturated fat, refined carbohydrates and a sedentary lifestyle, among others.
But the recent study by State University of New York adds another interesting factor: the use of credit cards.
It seems that the fact of using them to not be conscious of how much time is being spent, and thus contributes to the increase in the number of items purchased and poor quality food.
It has been found that, instead, the consumer pays in cash, spend much less and think more about the products we carry. Scientists say spend some cash cause psychological pain in the case of credit card use does not exist, because it is too abstract to provide a signature in exchange for a large number of products.
